I have a pair of espidrilles – the out side is canvas but they are lined in "man made materials" meaning a fake leather-ish type material – and they are a little tight / narrow. How can I stretch them out (without having to buy some shoe stretcher things…)?? I know leather shoes stretch easily when you moisten them and stuff w/ newspaper but I tried that and they haven't stretched.

either buy a shoe stretcher or put on 4 pairs of socks and walk around for an hour

this will sound weird…fill up a couple of baggies with water…put them in your shoes…then put them in the freezer…let the water freeze and take them out in a couple of days…let thaw and volia….slightly larger shoes for those big horse feet of yours! haha

The best way is to just wear them. If you can't fit your foot into them, then sometimes you can grab the part that covers your heel in one hand and the main part of the shoe in the other and pull on them a little. I did that with a pair of dress shoes, and then I could get my foot in them. Once I did that, I could wear them just fine.

You can buy these things that go inside your shoe it expands and widens the shoe dont no the name but their in most shoe stores or in the shoe section.
