Whenever i walk by a telephone line, i will usually see shoes on them and it leads to an ally, my friend tells me that it means a drug dealer is there but i just want to confirm what it means
That sounds ridiculous. Drug dealers do not like to advertise like that. Don’t you think the police would figure this out quickly?
It is difficult to get the shoes thrown up just right to get them to stick. This is a popular game young teens play. Once up there, few are stupid enough to climb up and retrieve them.

i have never heard of that
generaly, around here atleast, it means that someone has been beaten or murdered (and their shoes are taken and put on display so people know to watch out)
it could just have been kids being silly too though

When shoes are hung from a telephone line there are two possibilities. One a couple of boys were goofing off, two they sell drugs near there.

The History Channel is currently showing a series on gangs. They said sneakers on phone lines means (if I remember correctly) “this street belongs to local gang XXX”
