for ballroom dance. how to be sure they will comfortably fit.
any good/bad experience stories are welcome
I would make sure they have a good return policy because you can't know until you try on.
I would try to buy a fresh pair of a shoe model I already know works for me. Try on in a store and then buy online for cheaper.

I only buy dance shoes online if I have already tried the brand and style and know my exact sizing. Otherwise, you risk not being able to return them because of any damage done to them when trying them on. If you MUST buy a new style/size online, make sure your feet are clean before you try them on, and put a towel down so you don't scuff them in any way.

Consider not buying dance shoes online. You need to try a shoe on…

If you have a dance store near you then I think you should go there first. Ordering dance shoes online can be very tricky. Maybe if the shoes cost less online still try them on at the store then order them online. The online shop should tell you if your dance shoe runs large, small, or the same as your street shoe. Pay attention to the feedback other people have about the shoes and shoe maker. Discount Dance is a good online dance stuff store. Check them out.

Right now I have 6 pairs of ballroom dance shoes. None of them were bought on-line. I simply wouldn't do it. The fit and feel are far too important. Every manufacturer fits a bit differently.
